王勇篆刻展
简 历王勇，男，网名：大铁锤。湖南长沙人。
师从著名篆刻家罗光磊先生，并得西泠印社社员刘乃中先生指点。作品风格以细朱文、满白文、鸟虫篆为主。现为中国书法家协会会员、湖南省书协毛泽东书法研究会秘书长、长沙市篆刻研究会副秘书长。并担任《中国书法网》、《中国篆刻网》、《中国书法家论坛》版主。

The same as Beijing Opera, comic dialogue and other arts forms, seal cutting is the traditional quintessence of China. The emblem of 2008 Peking Olympic games is a seal cutting works.
Professional artist usually selects some short and meaningful words or poems as the content of seal cutting and carves them in China’s ancient writing. They carve out concavo-convex grain on the rock with smart design, then stamped with inkpad on the rice paper. The final article is red and white intermingled which may be round or square. Seal cutting is usually at the signature area of a traditional Chinese painting or calligraphic works, playing the function of marking or as one part of paint.
The style of seal cutting works generally can be divided into rough and exquisite. The former style is usually used in some effusive handwritings and paintings, while the later is not only used in some elegant works, but also mostly be used in collections. That means, after you buying celebrity’s paintings or books and stamping on it not only shows your ownership, but also makes the painting or book itself more beautiful.
Wang Yong is one of the famous seal cutting artists of Hunan province in China, whose works are showed in national artist exhibitions for many times. His articles are also exhibited in Moscow, Sydney, Tokyo, Macao and some other places and several papers and magazines publish his interviews. Wang Yong is good at exquisite and gentle seal cutting.
